No—forgiveness in our workshops doesn’t require reconciliation or contact with anyone. You’re learning to release the resentment you’re carrying for your own peace, not for theirs. Many people find this approach freeing because it puts your healing first, not obligating you to rebuild a relationship that isn’t safe or wanted.
Most people notice a shift within 2-3 weeks of consistent practice. Our 4-week Foundations workshop is designed around this timeframe because that’s when the writing exercises and reflection practices start to create real changes in how you carry old grievances. You won’t suddenly forget what happened, but you’ll stop feeling weighed down by it.
That’s actually where this work matters most. Long-held grievances have deeper roots, which is why we use structured writing and reflection—not to minimise what happened, but to help you process the layers underneath. Some people find the 6-week Written Release Practicum more suited to years of resentment because it gives you time to work through the complexity.
Holding resentment keeps your nervous system in a low-level stress state—elevated cortisol, tension, sleep disruption, and even inflammation. Your body doesn’t distinguish between reliving an old hurt and facing a new threat. In our workshops, you’ll learn how this connection works and why releasing the emotional weight has real physical benefits. We cover the science alongside the practice.
We offer both in-person workshops at locations across Ireland and online options so you can join from home. The structured exercises—writing, reflection, and guided release practices—work equally well in either format. Many people prefer online for privacy during vulnerable emotional work.
